Have you ever been on a road trip before? Which mode of transportation do people usually take? Car? Bus? Aeroplane? Train? Bicycle....?? lol =p.
As an amateur traveller, I fail to see the bigger picture when it comes to planning a trip. My first road trip with a friend was to Singapore last year, but that's a different story. For this post, I would like to talk about my trip to Jerantut, Pahang by bus with a friend/travel partner to attend my friend's wedding. And FYI, this is only my second road trip with a friend.
When taking a bus:-
1. Do plan the dates and buy your tickets early.
2. Always bring a sweater/shawl as you never know it might get cold in the bus.
3. Always bring a bottle of water (at least) and preferably (for me) a bar of chocolate and some bread, especially if the journey is more than 2 hours.
4. NEVER BE LATE..!! You should wait for the bus, not the bus wait for you..!! You should already be there AT LEAST 10 minutes before.
As for my trip to Jerantut, I took the S.E. Super Express bus at the bus station at Section 17, Shah Alam (Shah Alam's bus station). It costed me RM 21.90.

I wish I could talk about the route that was taken and the tolls that were passed but I fell asleep most of the way so, I am not sure. However, the bus did stop at Temerloh Bus Station, for only about 10 minutes or so.

I am not sure how long the bus took to get from Temerloh Bus Station to Jerantut Bus Station, but I am guessing around half an hour or so? Because the bus stopped to pick up some school kids on an outing. Hmm, I wonder if they are actually allowed to do that.
Anyhoos, sorry I forgot to take a picture of how the Bus Station at Jerantut looks like, but if asked to describe how Jerantut town looks like,I must say it reminds me of Masjid Tanah, Melaka.
As an amateur traveller, if there is one thing that I have learnt from this trip, it is to choose your travel partner/s wisely. Some people (like me) like to plan things out. Some people (like my friend) like to just go with the flow and have (almost) does not have the teeniest bit of planning. But perhaps the reason of this difference is that I live with my family still (parents + siblings) so my activities do affect theirs. Unlike my friend, who lives on her own, so , yeah.
Trip to Jerantut, Pahang, Malaysia; check.
